Industrial Ro Membrane
As its name implies, Industrial reverse osmosis membranes are semipermeable membranes that let water molecules pass through, but not salts, organics, bacteria, or pyrogens.
In general, reverse osmosis membranes need to be replaced every three to five years, depending on how well they produce water. In the event that a membrane is still producing good quality water after five years, it may last even longer.
Cleaning RO membranes requires both high pH and low pH CIP chemicals to maintain membrane efficiency. To ensure that organic or biological foulants are penetrated and dispersed in the cleaning process, it is always recommended to always begin the cleaning process at a high pH.
The different types of reverse osmosis filters
- With this sea water desalination system, sea water can be used for drinking water, irrigation, and other uses.
- With a brackish water system, you can clean water that contains a high concentration of salt (which is dirtier than tap water).
- Besides treating surface water and brackish water, water treatment plants also treat seawater.
